NZ AIMS
What a fantastic week in the city of Tauranga. All 95 students represented the school to the best of their ability; demonstrating fair play and sportsmanship in their repective codes.
The games were opened by Tauranga Intermediate's principal Brian Diver, we were entertained by a Sweet and Sour and inspired by Danyon Loader who encouraged us to BELIEVE.
During the week we experienced the highs and lows of competitive sport. We were excited for our fellow students who received medals in cheerleading (GOLD), cross country (BRONZE) and trampolining (SILVER AND BRONZE).
We were lucky to meet Danyon Loader and hold one of his gold medals from the Atlanta Olympic Games. We also had a photo with Stacey Jones.
We bonded with our teams and learnt to clean our rooms....over and over again.
AIMS was a very special week for us all. One that we will never forget.

House Sports Day
On the last day of term last term our school had a house sports day with Turbo Touch and Netball. For the whole day different teams played each other in Netball and Turbo Touch. The winning house overall was Nagata who won both Turbo Touch and Netball. Overall it was a fun day and it was fun to everyone. During the day we had a sausage sizzle with drinks for those of us that payed. Later that day everyone sat down and we announced the places for the top three houses but we all had a good time which is the main thing.

Slam
Earlier in the year the SLAM! crew from what now came down to Pukekohe and half of Pukekohe intermediate participated in this event. Through all the rounds two people from Pukekohe intermediate went down to Christchurch for the finals. Unfortunately we did not even make i past the first round but everyone had an awesome time. When it was in Pukekohe their was lots of gunge and it was awesome. The people who got a ball in the first round made it into the second round which was a water balloon competition were you have to throw a water balloon through a hole and then catch it on the other side twice to get one point. The team with the most points goes on the do the SLAM! course which you first have to go over and under inflatable logs and then spell Pukekohe on the scrambled board then run to three buckets and pour gunge on top of your head which is from the buckets. then run up to a pool pull the lever and a big lot of gunge goes on top of you and then you run down a mat then to the finish where you get squashed together by two foam plates. And during the whole course you are running on a slippery map with dish washing liquid and gunge.
